With ever increasing incidences of water borne related illnesses, Child Link Foundation- Uganda in the past three years has intensified its campaign towards encouraging and supporting people especially grannies caring for orphans and other vulnerable children access safe and clean water through rain water harvesting.

Most people especially in rural areas of Luweero, Mukono Buddaka, Buikwe Districts face the problem of poor sanitation and hygiene. Pit latrine coverage is still very low and the majority of people depend on open sources of water for domestic use. This has resulted into water borne diseases such as diarrhea, dysentery and cholera.
